Two headed turtle going on display

Turlte named Thelma and Louise

Aptly enough the shelled oddity has been named “Thelma and Louise.”

The turtle was hatched at the San Antonio Zoo in early June and is now ready to go in front of the public.

So far things seem to be going well, Thelma and Louise is swimming, walking, and eating like a normal turtle, or turtles.

In 1978 a two headed snake named Janus was born there and lived until 1995.

This isn’t the first dual noggin animal born at the facility.
