Tulsa Tough bringing in US Anti Doping Agency to combat performance enhancing drugs

Performance enhancing drugs not welcome at Tulsa Tough.

That's the message race organizers are sending to cyclists.

For the first time in its 8-year history, Tulsa Tough has the funding to bring drug testing to this year's races.

McCollam says, "It's a strong signal that Tulsa Tough supports clean racing."

Tulsa Tough executive director Malcolm McCollam tells KRMG that the US Anti-Doping Agency will be on site all weekend.

The USADA has made random appearances at Tulsa Tough in the past.

This year, all winners will be tested. McCollam says, "It's good for the sport. It's good for us (Tulsa Tough). It's a no-lose situation. Everybody benefits."

Tulsa Tough takes place June 7th, 8th and 9th.

Racing takes place Friday in the Blue Dome District, Saturday in the Brady District and Sunday in the RiverParks area.
