Tulsa Tough adding a new competition

TULSA, Okla. — The St. Francis Tulsa Tough is adding a new competition to the three-day festival.

Along with the usual Criterion Races, Gran Fondo and Townie rides, a fourth event is being introduced to the event.

Saturday Night’s festivities will end with the Red Bull Last Stand.

No brakes, no switching gears, high speed races where the course will consist of 2 separate elimination points and the last place rider is taken out of the race until there's just one rider left to take their final celebration lap and all of the glory.

Tulsa Tough Executive Director Malcolm McCollum describes it as a “fixed-gear criterion.”

This is the first year that Tulsa Tough has added the event to the schedule and racers from all around the country will meet in the Tulsa Arts District to compete for a $10,000 cash prize.
