Tulsa restaurant armed robbery includes gunfire

Shot fired when manager moves too slowly

Tulsa Police Corporal R.W. Solomon tells us a Hispanic male entered the Taco Don Francisco restaurant at 4008 East 11th Street about 11:30 p.m. and demanded money.

"When the manager wasn't moving fast enough he fired one shot down towards the ground. The manager gave him some of the money out of the register and the suspect left out the front door."

We're told the incident was not reported to police for about thirty minutes because the manager did not speak English.

Solomon also says the suspect had a thin build and was wearing all dark clothing and he "was armed with a semi-automatic weapon."

There were no customers inside the restaurant during the holdup.

Solomon says the manager called for his daughter, who spoke English, to respond to the restaurant and she called police.

There were no injuries.
