TULSA, Okla. — It is with a heavy heart that we report the death of friend and colleague Chuck Stevens.
Stevens, a Skiatook native, spent his life behind the microphone. If not on the radio, Chuck could be found singing Merle Haggard tunes with his band, Merle Jam.
Much of his free time was spent with family, at his niece’s softball games or his nephew’s choir concerts.
Chuck spent most of his career at KRMG’s sister-station Mix 96.5. He also hosted a gospel show on K95.5 and could be heard on KRMG Team Traffic.
Chuck had been on the air with 100.9 Totally Awesome 80s for nearly two years.
Chuck died suddenly Sunday morning, he was 52.
He will be greatly missed.
