Tulsa PD invites students to experience a traffic stop demonstration

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department is hosting Project Trust, a community event aimed at sharing what officers experience during a traffic stop.

For many people, a traffic stop turns into an indifferent experience for drivers. But, officers have no idea what to expect as they walk up to the driver’s side door.

Project Trust is an event that hopes to show high school students what officers go through during a traffic stop.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 15 at Tulsa Street School, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
