Tulsa mayor narrows search for next police chief to 4 finalists

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum has narrowed the field of candidates in his search for the next chief of Tulsa police.

The four finalists are: Deputy Chief Jonathan Brooks, Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish, Major Wendell Franklin, and Deputy Chief Dennis Larsen.

Mayor Bynum announced his picks on Facebook.

Mayor Bynum is hosting a forum Friday at 6 p.m. in the Ellen Ochoa Elementary School auditorium.

Tulsans will have another chance to weigh on the hiring of the next chief Friday night.

They mayor says citizens will get to hear from each of the candidates and ask questions.

Current Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan is retiring at the end of January after about 10 years in the position.
