Tulsa man paints roof with giant Obama logo

It's almost like painting a giant New York Yankees logo on the "Green Monster" at Boston's Fenway Park.

Or riding the Sooner Schooner into Boone Pickens Stadium.

Tulsa resident Kenny Nipp has painted a giant blue 2012 Obama logo on the roof of his house, right here in the reddest Republican state in the nation.

"I've actually gotten a really good reaction, saying how much they appreciate it or just telling me they're glad I did it," Nipp said.

And no, his neighbors have not gone berzerk.

Nipp got the idea because his house is right in the glide path of planes landing at Tulsa International Airport.

"So everybody sitting on one side can see the roof very clearly actually," he said.

It was a lot of work, he says.

It took about two full days of painting with the help of several friends.

"There are Democrats here, and this is a way to show the other ones that they're not alone," Nipp said.
