Tulsa man arrested for deadly hit and run

Tulsa police arrested a man after a deadly hit and run over the weekend.

TPD said it happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday near 61st and Lewis.

According to officers, Marlon Evans veered off the road and onto the sidewalk. We’re told he hit a pedestrian who was on the sidewalk and kept driving.

Police said 53-year-old Michael Cobb died a short time after being struck.

“Witnesses said Marlon Evans made no attempt to stop or help the victim.” TPD wrote on Facebook.

Officers found Evans a few minutes later and arrested him.

According to TPD, the convicted felon faces a manslaughter charge as well as charges for leaving the scene of an accident, driving on the sidewalk, not having a driver’s license, and not having insurance.
