Tulsa man arrested, accused of waving gun around and trying to stab woman

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police say a man is in jail after allegedly waving a gun around and trying to stab a woman near the Lake Terrace Community apartments.

Police say 31-year-old Chance Adams had been in an argument with someone in the complex and during the argument Adams allegedly raised his shirt to show a gun in his waistband.

Investigators say when the complex maintenance man saw the argument and tried to intervene, Adams allegedly pulled out his gun and pointed it at him and then tried to stab a different female victim.

Police then set up a perimeter, used a K9 and the Police helicopter to search for the Adams.

Officers say when they arrived on scene Adams had fled.

After a 10 minutes search officers say they arrested Adams inside a store at 31st and Mingo.

Adams has is now in the Tusla County Jail and charged with pointing a deadly weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, obstruction and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
