Tulsa gas prices jump 32-cents in two weeks, another 12-cents this morning

Refinery problems, bad weather in the Gulf of Mexico raised oil prices

The price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline is up 12-cents at some Tulsa area retailers this morning.

Experts tell us refinery problems in California and the midwest and bad weather in the Gulf of Mexico drove the price of oil to increase by 90-cents per barrel yesterday.

The price per gallon for unleaded regular gasoline at QuikTrip in Tulsa this morning is set at $3.55 per gallon, while Kum N Go was still at $3.43 per gallon.

We're told the upcoming switch at refineries next month to a winter blend of gasoline also plays a role in the price increase.
