We're told a burglary suspect was arrested after trying to kick in the doors at two Tulsa houses in the same neighborhood.
The first victim, Wesley Allee, took his family out of the house through the bedroom window when the suspect started to kick in his door just before midnight Wednesday morning.
Allee tells KRMG it may be a case of mistaken identity. Allee says, "I think we were mistaken for another house. I don't think he was coming to break in, to be a thief. I think he wanted to get back into a drug house."
"Suspect was pointed out to us by this neighbor and we followed the description. We followed in the direction the neighbor told us where we encountered the suspect trying to attempt another first-degree burglary," Farley said.
Tulsa Police Sgtg Justin Farley told KRMG that a neighbor heard the commotion and called police.
"The officers could actually see the subject trying to knock down and kick down a door. After a short struggle (they) took him into custody."
19-year old Tyler Robert Sweeden was arrested at the scene near 7800 South 80th East Avenue.
He is being held in the Tulsa County jail on bonds totalling $40,000.
