Tulsa’s Deputy Mayor named Chief of Staff for OK Governor-elect Kevin Stitt

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma Governor-elect Kevin Stitt named Tulsa Deputy Mayor Michael Junk as his chief of staff.

Michael Junk worked for former U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, as well as Oklahoma’s Senior U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe.

He was campaign manager for Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum’s 2016 mayoral campaign and later became Bynum’s deputy mayor.

Michael Rogers was chosen as Secretary of State, a position that must be confirmed by the state Senate. Rogers served in the House of Representatives from 2014-2018 representing Broken Arrow and District 98

Junk joins a list of Tulsans to serve in Stitt’s administration, which includes Matt Pinnell as Lieutenant Governor.
