Tulsa dentist being investigated for improper practices

The Tulsa Health Department, the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry are investigating accusations of improper practices at the offices of a Tulsa County dentist.

KRMG is told that officials are moving quickly to investigate and determine if there is any cause for action.

Susan Rogers with the Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry says her office received a phone call tipping them off.

Both Rogers and Tulsa Health Department officials refused to identify the dentist in question, citing HIPAA, a patient privacy law.

Rogers tells KRMG that this accusation, like every accusation made to her office, is investigated.

A press conference with more information is expected early next week.
