Tulsa County Sheriffs Office investigating animal cruelty

SKIATOOK, Okla. — Skiatook Police were flagged down at a farm on East 126th Street North by someone who claim they saw a horse in a freezing pond.

Two officers were able to pull the horse out but a vet was called and had to put the horse down.

After investigating cops say they found several emaciated horses as well as the body of a different horse.

Deputies said the woman is not cooperating with the investigation.

The sheriff's office said they have previously contacted the owner of the farm about animal welfare and are now saying she did not take the proper steps to fix the problem.
