Tulsa County Jail faces another lawsuit

Thu, March 23, 2017 — A lawsuit has been filed against the Tulsa County Jail, claiming employees failed to do a proper mental health examination and ignored a week's worth of complaints by an inmate.

This reportedly led to the inmate being raped by a sexual predator inside the jail.

Attorney Dan Smolen tells us it should have been obvious his client is mentally ill.

Sheriff's office declined to comment on the pending litigation.

“It’s apparent to even a lay person, that he’s suffering from acute severe mental issues,” Smolen said.

Just a few days ago, the jail also lost a $10 million verdict in the Elliott Williams case.
