The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office wants people to know they will have lots of deputies on patrol at ONEOK Field, when early voting starts there on Thursday, to keep things nice and secure.
Casey Roebuck with the Sheriff’s Office says they’ve got lots of experience dealing with large crowds.
“The supervisor that does all of our planning for the fair did all the supervising for this, because it’s kind of similar,” Roebuck says.
The hours for early voting Thursday and Friday are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and then on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
She says while the County will handle the duties inside the gates, Tulsa Police officers will be on the outside, doing traffic control.
There is no early voting this year at either the Tulsa County Election Board headquarters or at Hardesty Library.
Absentee ballots can still be dropped off in person at the Election Board headquarters during normal business hours.
