Tulsa County Clerk, County Treasurer offices set to open at new location

It took longer - and cost more - than expected, but the new building should make county services more accessible and efficient

TULSA — The offices of the Tulsa County Clerk and the Tulsa County Treasurer will open for business at a new location Tuesday.

In 2017, the county purchased the old Community Care building just southeast of the courthouse complex at W. 6th Street and S. Denver Ave.

Moving some of those offices out of the courthouse complex will also open up more room in that overcrowded facility.

The goal was to consolidate county agencies that have been scattered across the area into one location, making it more convenient for citizens, as well as more efficient.

For example, the Public Defender’s offices will move back in to the courthouse.

One additional benefit - the building includes about a 400-space parking garage, and another 50 or so surface spaces for the public.

Other offices, including the County Assessor’s, will gradually move in to the new location over the next couple of months.
