Tulsa community, police come together for two young girls

Two Tulsa girls don't know it yet, but they're going to have a special Christmas this year.

This comes two years after the fourth grader and kindergartner witnessed both of their parents being murdered in different incidents.

Police tell us with the help of the community, they are going to give the girls a holiday season they won't forget with donations and a move to give the girls a fresh start. Their aunt knows she's witnessing a holiday miracle.

The aunt is also hoping to make the miracle a surprise for her nieces.

"To have the support from the community," the aunt said. "People don't even know them. They know somebody cares enough to think about them and what they went through."

Police add they have enough donations. However, the public is asked to help out by volunteering in programs at area schools or by mentoring children in their communities.
