Tulsa basketball player being investigated for rape

A University of Tulsa basketball player is being investigated for rape, and a woman has been granted a protective order against him.

Tulsa World spoke with Tulsa police, who say the woman claims Pat Swilling Jr. raped her at a campus apartment on Jan. 27.

He hasn't been charged with any crimes.

Swilling has been suspended from the team.  TU sent a statement to FOX23 News on Friday.

"The University of Tulsa responded to this matter immediately after it was reported on February 11, 2014 to university security and local law enforcement officials. A disciplinary investigation is currently underway, therefore we will have no additional comment at this time."
