Train derails, spills 6,500 gallons of oil

Six of the oil train's 100 cars derailed

The Union Pacific Railroad says 6,500 gallons of oil spilled when a train derailed in northern Colorado on Friday.

A railroad spokeswoman says cleanup was still underway on Saturday.

State officials say the spill has been contained to a ditch and didn't reach the South Platte River.

Six of the oil train's 100 cars derailed, but only one leaked.
