TPS inviting government shutdown employees to be substitute teachers

Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa Public Schools is inviting qualified residents impacted by the federal government shutdown to join the district’s team of substitute teachers as a part-time job or full-time profession.

Interested community members need copies of their high school diploma or GED equivalent, college transcript, or teaching certificate, and pass the required background checks.

The pay is between $60 and $90 per day.
