Man arrested for soliciting sex with a minor

Investigators say he talked to what he thought was a teenager on Snapchat

TULSA — Tulsa County deputies moved fast to arrest a man before school started this year.

Deputies say Aaron Hernandez had just graduated from college and was in the process of becoming a teacher at Tulsa Public Schools.

He was arrested Monday for soliciting sex with an officer disguised as a teenage girl.

“Employment at Tulsa Public Schools is contingent on approval by our Board of Education. While this person completed the required steps in our hiring process – inclusive of a background check – he was never officially employed by Tulsa Public Schools and has never interacted with any of our students as an employee of Tulsa Public Schools. Given the nature of the charges, we have rescinded our conditional offer of employment.”

A statement from TPS says:

Investigators say Hernandez also sent lewd pictures of himself.
