Tulsa, Okla. — A man is arrested after a standoff at the Mayfest site downtown before the festival opened on Sunday. We're told 33-year old Jason Mitchell was arrested. TPD Sgt. Mike Parsons said Mitchell claimed “he was hungry so he decided to break into one of the vendors’ booths and eat ice cream.” Sgt. Parsons said said they were able get Mitchell to come out of the booth without using force after about an hour. “He had taken some items from inside of the booth and put them in his pockets.” We're told Mitchell likely suffered from mental health issues and had possibly been under the influence of drugs. He faces burglary charges.
