20 tourists stuck on drifting ice floe

They were on an expedition on Baffin Island in Canada’s far north when it happened.

The huge chunk of ice broke free and started drifting away.

The chunk of ice was massive and had floated 8 miles out to sea.

The group received supplies from air drops while they were waiting for rescuers to arrive.

Among the 20 tourists were two Americans.

As luck would have it, the chunk of ice bumped into another one that just happened to be touching land.

All of the tourists made it off safely.

A group of hunters was on a separate chunk of ice that broke away, but they managed to get back to land rather quickly.
