The estimated cash value of the jackpot is $228.2 million.
Lottery officials tell KRMG that this is the second-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, and the fifth-largest ever in North America.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:59 p.m.
Players have until 8:59 p.m. tonight to purchase tickets for the drawing.
