Three rescued in midtown house fire

No one was seriously hurt

The Tulsa Fire Department responded to a house fire near 43rd and Braden Ave, near 41st and Yale.

Firefighters got to the scene at around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. A fire captain told KRMG the house was engulfed in smoke and flames when they arrived.

A mother and two children were rescued from the burning home by neighbors and citizens before TFD arrived. The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The man who lives in the house next door told KRMG his home took a little bit of damage too.

The two children were not hurt.

“It took the eves out, scorched the paint. I don’t know about the roof or the rest, so I just got smoke damage. ” Said Wes Conley.

Tulsa Fire stayed on the scene Tuesday afternoon to control hotspots and investigate the cause of the fire.
