Three more flu deaths reported in Oklahoma, one in Tulsa County

Three more people have died from the flu in Oklahoma in the last week, according to new figures from the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

OSDH tells KRMG one of those fatalities occurred in Tulsa County.

For the season, which began Sept. 30 of last year, Oklahoma has now had 17 deaths attributed to influenza.

Comanche County has had three deaths, while Oklahoma and Pittsburg Counties have each had two, according to OSDH.

Tulsa County has had four fatalities, more than any other county in the state.

The majority of the deaths have occurred among older citizens, ages 65 or older.

Five deaths were adults aged 19 to 64, the other 12 were patients 65 or older.

No juvenile deaths have been reported so far this flu season.
