Terminal doctor decides to tweet from her deathbed

Dr. Granger hopes to ease others fear

Her name is Dr. Kate Granger and she’s only 31 years old. Granger was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer in August of 2011.

Initially she and her husband sought treatment to fight the cancer but after several difficult rounds of chemotherapy she decided to end her treatments and try to focus on quality of life in the time she has left.

One of the things that she thinks will help is sharing the “death” experience.

The doctor is sorting through several hash tags she’d like to use ranging from #deathbedlive,  and  #going-goinggone or even  #onedieseveryminute.

Granger says she will tweet from her deathbed with both details of what’s happening to her and a sense of humor as well.

Granger said she thinks her experiences could help someone in a similar situation. She told The Telegraph "If my tweets about my death and what I'm going through make one person talk to their loved one about what they would do that's a good thing."
