Tent fire kills woman, 5 children

Youngest child killed was 4-months old

Tragedy for a family already trying to recover from the devastation of November's Typhoon Haiyan.

Authorities in the Philippines say a woman and five of her children died when an overnight fire razed a tent they were using as a temporary shelter in the devastated city of Tacloban.

The youngest child killed was 4-months old.

The fire was caused by a kerosene lamp and quickly consumed the canvass tent just after midnight Tuesday.
