it’s an ending to a sad case out of Vinita involving a teenager and his dead stepmother.
Court records show 15-year-old Koalten Orr was sentenced on Friday to life in prison with the possibility of parole. This comes after Orr pleaded guilty to fatally shooting Laura Hendrix.
Tulsa World reports Orr went to the Vinita Police Department following the shooting where he apparently told an officer “he needed a hug” after he “shot his stepmom.”
He reportedly tried to argue the victim had abused him. However, that story failed to hold up.
