Tax day? Not in Oklahoma

Deadline is extended to June 15th

Today, April 15th, is normally the often-dreaded tax day, but because of the pandemic, the deadline for most of the U.S. was pushed back to May 17th.

Here in Oklahoma, residents have even longer, until June 15th.

“The reason it got pushed back to June 15th for Oklahoma is actually because of all the weather issues that we had recently with those winter storms. A lot of Oklahomans were affected by all of that,” says Rachel Bright with Polston Tax Service.

That June 15th deadline applies for both your federal and state income tax returns if you’re an Oklahoma resident.
