Taco Bell bringing Waffle Taco to breakfast battle

Company wants to make run at McDonald's

The new offerings run from a Waffle Taco to breakfast burritos, and something called the A.M. Crunchwrap.

The company says this will complete one of the most all-encompassing menu makeovers in their history and will require their "most extensive training ever."

The Waffle Taco will be a “breakfast sandwich wrapped in a waffle with a side of syrup.”

Another change will be how long the menu is served. Taco Bell says they will open for breakfast no later than 7am and will serve up until 11am.

Taco Bell says they hope the new offering can “turn the breakfast conversation into a two-horse race," with McDonald's and their Egg McMuffin.

McDonald's and many other fast-food outlets stop breakfast items at 10:30 A.M. McDonald's told The Los Angeles Times they wouldn't make any changes to their current menu, or hours. "We are always exploring new ways to serve our customers, but there are no tests currently in place for extended breakfast hours," they noted.
