A pursuit through midtown Tulsa came to an abrupt end Wednesday afternoon when the suspect shot himself.

It began just before 1:30 p.m. when police attempted to serve warrants for assault and kidnapping on a man near 71st and Mingo.

He took off in a vehicle, and led police on a chase that lasted about a half hour, during which TPD says he fired at officers at three different locations.
