Suspect in handcuffs steals OHP patrol car

BROKEN ARROW — A suspect wearing handcuffs is still on the loose after stealing an Oklahoma Highway Patrol vehicle Saturday night.

Broken Arrow police report the unidentified man was stopped by a trooper and handcuffed. While the trooper went back to the suspect's vehicle to gather more information, the man flipped his handcuffs, turned the siren on, and took off down the road in the patrol car.

Investigators later found the car north of 111th between Elm and Aspen.  No word on if the vehicle was damaged.

KRMG’s told investigators know who they're looking for.  So far, the man’s description hasn’t been released.
