Suspect accused of sexually assaulting woman, slashing her arm

A man is accused of slashing a woman with a knife after she and a friend rebuff his sexual advances early Saturday morning.

Tulsa police say it happened around 3 a.m., near 21st and Garnett.

Jose Mendez is said to have touched both women on their chest and buttocks.  In response, police say the women told him to go away.

He then pulled a large knife and slashed one of the victims on her arm.

Officers tracked him down a short time later and took him into custody.

His mugshot isn't available because he's a hold for ICE at the Tulsa County Jail.
