Strong winds bring high fire danger

Big change coming, possible wintry mix Saturday

The rollercoaster temperatures continue as Thursday is expected to be beautiful day.

FOX23 Chief Meteorologist James Aydelott says Thursday’s high is 51, but the high winds mean we still have a high fire risk.

We saw several grass fires on Wednesday, so it is always good to be extra cautious during these dry and windy conditions.

It will be even colder by Saturday, with chances of precipitation.

Enjoy the warmer air while it’s here, because James tells us a cold front is moving in tomorrow. The high temperature for Friday is just 47 and we’ll see some patchy rain.

James says, “Temps could even drop below freezing Sat morning with some light wintry mix.”

Those cold temps continue through the weekend, but by Monday the high temperature should reach back into the 40s.
