Stressed out? Try 'tapping'

The technique comes from a book by Nick Ortner called ‘The Tapping Solution.’

Ortner says the tapping method helps relieve stress by tapping on acupuncture points in a systematic order.

Some of the specific points you’ll be focusing on are the eyebrows, temples, cheeks, nose and chin.

The technique involves listing out your stresses of the day and rating them from one to 10.

Some other points are the collarbone, underarms and other spots on the head.

Anything that you scored a five or above needs to be “tapped out.”

Ortner’s technique has you follow the sequence of tapping points as you recite this sentence:

“I feel overwhelmed and drained but I deeply and completely accept myself.”

The sentence changes as days go on, with more positive ones coming as you progress.

One reviewer says she feels better after just two days, and mentions that she was extremely skeptical as she began.
