Storms, freeze looming again in Tulsa forecast

Just like last week, a chance of storms and a very unusual freeze is possible in what has been a very strange spring season for Tulsa so far.

"A massive cold front is moving into the Tulsa area for later today," said News on 6 meteorologist Travis Meyer.  "That'll give us a threat of a few severe storms this evening with some hail and wind, mainly north and west of Tulsa, but close."

After that, Trav says some extremely cold air will move across Tulsa.

And he says if the skies clear off Tuesday night, we could have freezing temperatures overnight going into Wednesday morning.

Highs on Tuesday will struggle to reach 40 degrees, Trav says.

"There's enough cloud-cover that we're hoping that we're hoping we'll have temperatures that should be hanging around the 32 degree area, but no matter how you cut it, it's still bad for gardeners," Trav said.
