Storms could hit Tulsa on Wednesday

Large hail, tornadoes possible

Colder than expected temperatures put a damper on the storm chances for Tuesday, but warm air on Wednesday will set the stage for some possibly damaging thunderstorms across northeast Oklahoma.

News on 6 meteorologist Travis Meyer says on Wednesday, hail will be the main threat, but tornadoes can't be ruled out.

"We do have about a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms during the afternoon," Travis said.  "That goes to about an 80 percent chance tomorrow night, some of those could be severe."

After tomorrow's rain and storms move through, Trav says temperatures will be sharply colder on Thursday and says there's even a chance of a freeze on Friday morning.
