Stolen Ben & Jerry's melts on sticky fingered crooks

Next time, swipe a freezer too

Having sticky fingers is a good thing for a crook but in this instance, not so much.

Two men who REALLY like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream swiped almost $1,400 worth of their product from a freezer truck that was sitting unguarded in a shopping center.

Problems began right away when guards in the Swedish town of Gävle saw the guys and ran them down, catching one.

"As I understand it, all the ice cream was still in the bags. And a lot of it had melted so it had to be thrown away," Gävle police Mikael Hedström told Swedish paper The Local.

As they tried to get away the men had to drop their sweet booty and it didn’t survive being out of the freezer.

"This is one of the most unusual crimes I've been involved in," Hedström smiled.
