Stitt gives update on state’s vaccination program

21,000 people vaccinated so far, mainly healthcare workers

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt held a news conference at the Lodge at Brookline nursing home in Oklahoma City today, to announce that nursing home workers and residents have started to get the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine.

He says Oklahoma has started receiving shipments of the Moderna vaccine too.

“We received about 10,000 doses yesterday, and we’re on track for about 50,000 more doses, who are on the way today,” Stitt said.

He says vaccines have been given out in all 77 Oklahoma counties.

Stitt says 21-thousand healthcare workers and first responders have gotten the vaccine so far in Oklahoma.
