Stage set for Women’s College World Series

The Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowgirls are getting ready for the Women’s College World Series.

The Sooners beat Clemson Saturday, 8-7, to capture the Norman Super Regional.

It was their 48th straight win, setting the NCAA Division 1 record.

The Cowgirls enter the game with a record of 46 and 14.

OSU, the 6th seed, opens play Thursday against 3 seed Florida State.

The defending champion Sooners meet Stanford, Thursday.

All games are taking place at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma is seeking its third straight national softball title and seventh championship overall.
