Music legend and Tulsa native Jimmy Markham passed away on Friday at the age of 78.
KRMG was able to speak to his son, Chebon.
He told us his father was a storyteller that influenced so many to play music. Chebon is proud his father was a fighter and a hero right up till the end.
Markham was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame back in 2017.
“I have no regrets,” Chebon said. “I’m glad I was along for the ride.”
