Snow blankets Oklahoma City, may be headed for Tulsa

Winter has finally arrived in Oklahoma, with a blanket of snow now covering the west and central parts of the state.

The wintry precipitation will continue to move toward the Tulsa area, but so far computer models and meteorologists say the Tulsa metro area probably won't see a lot of snow.

Some, though, have predicted as much as an inch or two of snow, while others have projected only a dusting.

That said, the morning drive Wednesday could prove a bit dangerous, especially on bridges and overpasses which are more prone to freezing.

Any snow that does fall will likely melt quickly, with sunshine and moderate temperatures predicted for Wednesday.

The City of Tulsa says it's fully prepared to deal with the storm, with plenty of salt and crews standing by to deploy if conditions warrant.
