Tulsa police told News On 6 photojournalist Gary Kruse that a man who was driving a Mazda that he had purchased recently was driving west on 61st Street and attempted to turn left to go south on Sheridan.

He told police that he did not see a Dodge Durango driven by a woman coming from the other direction.

The man in the Mazda sustained a head injury when apparently jhis head struck the rearview mirror.

They collided in the middle of the intersection.

The woman possibly has some minor neck injuries where the air bag deployed from her steering wheel.
