Slow-speed police chase ends in arrest

Crashed into a cable barrier on I-44

A police chase on I-44 with the driver going the wrong way ends with a man placed behind bars.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Gary Otterstrom tells us officers flattened the tires on Lance Newsome's car before he stopped near 145th East Avenue about three this morning.

"The vehicle lost control and crashed into a cable barrier in between the east and westbound lanes at 145th East Avenue," Otterstrom said.

Police used pepper balls to place him under arrest. He was charges with resisting arrest and DUI.

We're told Newsome refused to get out of the car after the slow-speed chase.
