Sequester closes some Oklahomans' favorite campgrounds

Sequester cuts are like a lot of things.  They don't seem real until the affect you directly.

Tom White of Wagoner County was surprised and disappointed to find out his favorite campground at Bluff Landing on the navigation channel was closed down by the Army Corps of Engineers because of federal budget cuts.

He said lots of people in the area use it.

He's now trying to round up support from his friends on Facebook to put pressure on the Corps to reopen it.

"Y'know that access is really important to everybody around there, duck-hunting, fishing, everything," White said.

He said the Army Corps wouldn't tell him when it might reopen.
