Search in Rogers County finds 'significant' evidence that might be tied to 2013 murder

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office says they've completed their search on a property in a rural area near Talala, where they believe there could be evidence tied to a 2013 murder.

During the past three days, FBI dive teams have searched two ponds, authorities have done a grid search of the property on foot, and heavy equipment was brought in to dig in some areas.

“We have, since we've been out here the last three days, we've recovered evidence that we think is potential, and based on our interviews and everything,  we're calling it significant,” said Rogers County Maj. Coy Jenkins.

Jenkins said they may begin searching other areas in connection with the case.
