Districts have few option if days run out

Schools are running out of snow days.

Most districts have already used three.

Tulsa Schools only have five built into its calendar.

Jenks, like Tulsa, only has five snow days built into its calendar. School leaders tell KRMG that longer days or days on the end of the calendar become options if the district runs out.

Bixby schools have seven snow days and have also used three. School leaders there say their options include adding days to the end of the school year or adding hours to the end of the school day. If things get really bad, Saturday school could become an option.

Seven snow days are scheduled in the Union School District.

In Broken Arrow, the school district calendar includes 5 built-in days for inclement weather or emergencies.

By law, Oklahoma schools must have 180 days or 1,080 hours of instruction.
